Hanging in There

Puking has been replaced by a deep chest cough and a slight fever. Not as bad as the puking. Still not enjoyable. Zoe went home with a friend again today. The mother of this friend always takes pictures when friends come over and then makes a card out of it to send home. The card today had a picture of Zoe wearing a pink bikini and matching pink feather boa, with a headset microphone on, rocking out on a pink electric guitar. Now that's fun!

I'm bummed about Elliott getting voted off American Idol. If Katherine wins, I swear I'll never watch AI (as the cool kids call it) again. (At least until next season.)

I didn't watch The Amazing Race too closely this season, but did manage to catch most of the finale last night. It was great to watch the Hippies beat the Frat Boys--especially because the final challenge came down to brains, of which the Frat Boys are lacking. The Hippies were totally cracking me up by saying "Damn Frat Boys!" But, you probably had to be there to enjoy that reference.

Just 3-and-a-half more days of school left.....yikes! Max's teacher wants him to play the guitar for the class on Monday or Tuesday. Max has been taking lessons since January, and can now do rousing renditions of "Pop Goes the Weasel" and "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" not to mention a peppy version of "When the Saints Go Marching In." I'm not sure if he'll have the nerve to play in front of his class, though.

No guitar lessons or baseball or t-ball or soccer practices or games today. It feels like we're on vacation!
