nprmommy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mother's Day Happy Mother's Day! Have you called your mother yet? I've had a good one so far. I started out the day with a treasure hunt thought up by Max. A series of clues led me to my cards and presents. Very cute! My parents were here (having come up for Grandparents Day in Zoe's kindergarten class), so we met for brunch before they hit the road for the 7-and-a-half hour ride home. The strange thing is that this restaurant has a sand volleyball court off to one side. The people with the table right next to the court had to deal with the ball crashing against their chairs occasionally....and one time into one of the mother's heads! So for them, not so enjoyable. For us, very enjoyable (the food and company, that is. We didn't take any sadistic pleasure in the mother getting hit in the head with the ball....o.k., so Max did chuckle a little before I shushed him....oh well.) After brunch, we said goodbye to my parents, hit the mall for a while, then came home and played a rousing game of Disney Princesses Gowns and Crowns. Now, I'm ready for the ultimate Mother's Day present-- a nap! My second dot-moms post is up today. It's titled "Gifted and Talented." It was written after Max was tested for the Gifted and Talented class at his school, but before we knew if he was selected for the class. We have since found out that he was selected for the class (but some of the questions raised in the dot-moms post still linger!)
