nprmommy's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Popstrological Profile
Max is very excited....not because of the gifted and talented part, but because the teacher has the room set up like a diner. Instead of tables, the kids sit at actual diner booths. There is also a counter with stools where they can sit sometimes. At the beginning of each week, the teacher gives each student a laminated "placemat" with the "menu" of things they're going to do that week. It's really cool, and not like any classroom I've ever been in. We're very proud of Max. He's such a kind, funny, smart boy. Most of the time, we can't believe he's ours. Luckily, he looks just like his dad-- and a little like me, too-- otherwise we might have convinced ourselves long ago that he was switched with another baby in the hospital. In another cool, yet completely unrelated, note, I got a unique book today. It's called Popstrology, by Ian Van Tuyl and Owen Grover. It "uses the pop music charts to reveal your personality traits, guide your relationships, and discover your true destiny." According to the book, I was born in The Year of the Fifth Dimension, my birthstar is The Temptations, and my birthsong is "I Can't Get Next to You." Apparently that says this about my personality: You may not be the island of stability some perceive you to be, child of the Temptations, but perhaps you'd say that what's behind the curtain hardly matters if what's out front is winning applause. (What? I don't think that sounds very positive!) My ruling popstrological constellations are: Hitsville I totally didn't understand the book's explanation of this constellation, but it didn't sound good! and Launching Pad When a child of this constellation begins to realize that a relationship can no longer stay afloat, they leave the lifeboats to others and remain onboard until the water swallows them up. (o.k., now I'm getting depressed!) So that's my popstrological profile, for what it's worth. Not sure that it provided any insight, but it was interesting just the same. 4:32 p.m. - 2006-05-05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Max's Pants - 2007-06-20 |
